This is very short, mainly to post the road video as I drove to the airport, so when I drop my friends at the airport on Saturday the journey will be continuous.
It was a short trip from LaGrange, GA to the Atlanta airport but while I was in LaGrange everyone was talking about a tornado that had damaged or destroyed more than 100 buildings a few miles away. Also, the hotel was full and it looked like many people were seeking shelter for the night.
I arrived at the airport early with the intention of visiting the Delta Airlines museum before my friends, Rita and Christian, arrived. However the museum was small and there were three groups of children visiting so I kept the visit short and stayed mainly outside. As you would expect, it concentrates on the history of Delta Airlines, which is based in Atlanta, and the most interesting idea was that part of the museum was built around and melded with a Boeing 747 as can be seen in the pictures below.
After meeting my friends we parked at our rented condo, in downtown Atlanta, and set off to find a late lunch. We had a great meal at Ray’s in the City, checked in to the condo, unpacked and rested, then went for dinner and drinks at By George restaurant. It was a nice change of pace from being on the road.
I am actually writing this on Tuesday, 28th as Christian and Rita are visiting the Dr. Martin Luther King historic district which I visited in 2016 and blogged here. I am at the condo doing laundry and catching up on things.
Have so much fun you fun people! It’s a party where ever you are!!
Thanks, we’ll try.
Oh what a fun time you will have!

Fun and relaxing. Thanks.
Sounds wonderful Steve! It is great to experience new places, but see old faces!
A lovely sentiment, appreciated by all of us.
