Hi,  I’m Steve, a former teacher who retired in the summer of 2015 and now plans to do all of the projects, activities and travelling that I did not have time for in my working life. I  enjoy science (which I taught for 32 years), coding, photography, baseball and socializing but the main focus of this blog will be to document travel and exciting activities I plan to challenge myself with.

My favorite form of travel is the North American road trip. I love the freedom of being able to go where I want, staying for as long as I want, and meeting people in different places but it is the ever changing and, often spectacular, landscape that always captures most of my attention. This blog will attempt to document these trips for my own pleasure but I hope that others will also enjoy the ride.
