I tried to visit most of the scenic areas north of my base in Northampton (except the Scottish islands) and succeeded in that but, although I got an impression of each area, it felt very rushed and I would concentrate on two or three areas if there is a next time. I am glad that I got to see so much wonderful scenery and some impressive cities that have been on the to-do list for some time. I definitely enjoyed spending time with a number of friends along the way and my anxiety about the unpredictable weather in the UK was unjustified as it did not interfere with my plan in any significant way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Unfortunately, no scenic views are visible on the final road video as its simply the drive back to Northampton. Also, I don&#8217;t have the usual statistics for the trip as I did not record or blog the whole thing but, according to the car, I drove about 1,923 miles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Thank you for reading, commenting or otherwise interacting. I enjoy knowing that people are with me, at least in spirit, when I&#8217;m on the road alone.
