When I woke up this morning light snow was falling in Chicago but, by the time I got on the road, it was a mixture of sleet and rain and the roads were just wet. It was, however, a dull journey with gray skies and rain accompanying me all the way.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
This blog post will be equally dull for readers as my only stop was at the weirdly named RV\/MH Hall of Fame<\/em> in Elkhart, Indiana. The RV\/MH represents Recreational Vehicles\/Manufactured Housing but I was only interested in the RV part of it. When I did my trip to Montana last year I did a one-way car rental and stayed in hotels but I have often wondered if I should rent a small RV instead. One exhibit at the Hall of Fame is current vehicles and other equipment for RVing so this was, basically, a research stop for me to see what the different types of vehicles offer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n There was also a display of historical trailers and RVs, such as this one that was purchased by Charles Lindbergh to travel the country giving talks after his successful solo flight across the Atlantic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n This is the interior of the trailer that Paramount Studios offered as a house car to Mae West to convince her to leave vaudeville and come to Hollywood.
