Click for bigger image.<\/p>\n<p>By the time I stopped for a walk at Point Lobos State Nature Preserve the mist was completely gone. There is a 6.7 mile coastal trail but I only did about 3 miles on the South and North Shore trails before cutting back to my car.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3665\" src=\"http:\/\/relativerest.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Point-Lobos-South-Shore.jpg\" alt=\"Point Lobos South Shore\" width=\"760\" height=\"429\" srcset=\"http:\/\/relativerest.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Point-Lobos-South-Shore.jpg 760w, http:\/\/relativerest.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/Point-Lobos-South-Shore-300x169.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 760px) 100vw, 760px\" \/>I started on the South Shore trail as this was the only location I could find parking. There were several coves like this.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3664\" src=\"http:\/\/relativerest.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/North-Shore-Birds.jpg\" alt=\"North Shore Birds\" width=\"760\" height=\"570\" srcset=\"http:\/\/relativerest.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/North-Shore-Birds.jpg 760w, http:\/\/relativerest.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/North-Shore-Birds-300x225.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 760px) 100vw, 760px\" \/>The North Shore trail offered more expansive coastal views as well as the protected habitat that attracts nature.<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" loading=\"lazy\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-3663\" src=\"http:\/\/relativerest.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/North-Shore-Big-Bird.jpg\" alt=\"North Shore Big Bird\" width=\"760\" height=\"532\" srcset=\"http:\/\/relativerest.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/North-Shore-Big-Bird.jpg 760w, http:\/\/relativerest.com\/blog\/wp-content\/uploads\/2022\/03\/North-Shore-Big-Bird-300x210.jpg 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 760px) 100vw, 760px\" \/>Not sure what species this bird is but a pair of them were flying in and out, probably building a nest.<\/p>\n<p>I was lucky with the sun because just twenty minutes further north along route 1 there was mist again.
