Today was the first of these as I drove from International Falls to Minot in North Dakota, about 420 miles.<\/p>\n<p>I considered heading north of the border and using the Trans-Canada Highway to speed things up but I have already driven that from Winnipeg to British Columbia and highway driving is often very boring. By staying on county and state roads I am driving through communities and past farms and factories so I always have something to look at. In these sparsely populated areas there is little traffic and, with my lead foot, I have been able to make good time. It also allows me to stay closer to the border.<\/p>\n<p>No photos today but you can follow my progress on the map and video <a href=\"\/Tripmapper\/Mapview.aspx?DataFile=2015_10_06_Minot_ND&amp;Video=MwEF1QQLlUo\" target=\"_blank\">here<\/a>.
